Dr. George A. Blessios has dedicated his career to the surgical care of Renal (Kidney) patients since 1998, when his graduated from his Renal Transplant Fellowship. He is deeply committed to improving the health and quality of life of his patients. Dr. Blessios offers the opportunity to improve patient outcome and quality of life while concentrating on proactive care and early intervention.

Blessios medical, PLLC is a private medical practice founded in October 2013 by Dr Blessios which specializes in providing vascular access and peritoneal catheters for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients and maintenance of these accesses. These accesses provide the independence from dialysis catheters which long-term placement can pose a risk for serious infections complications. Patients that have Chronic and End Stage Kidney Disease need to have a dependable access to get their dialysis treatment at home or at their chosen dialysis center.

The most common dialysis accessproblem is the narrowing of the access or the blood vessels attached to it. This narrowing is called stenosis and can lead to clotting of the access. If this happens, dialysis treatment will not be effective and the access may eventually stop working. This is why the maintenance of the access is very important to our patients.

In addition, Dr. Blessios specialized in general vein care, in patients with venous insufficiency and varicose veins, causing pain, discomfort, swelling or cosmetic concerns.

At the present time Dr. Blessios performs the majority of his procedures at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Williamsville, NY and at his private office. All procedures, with minimal exceptions, can be performed on an outpatient basis. The following procedures are performed by Dr. Blessios to provide and maintain patients' access:
